The University of Okara was established under the Government of the Punjab Act, 2016 (XIII of 2016). With over 14,000 students and more than 400 faculty and staff members, the University is one of the most progressive and dynamic institutions in higher education. It is located on 204 acres of land between Multan Road and Canal Lower Ban Doo Aab at Renala Khurd, District Okara. The University seeks highly qualified and motivated professionals to expand its teaching and research operations. Applications are invited from Pakistani nationals for the following teaching positions.

Minimum Qualification:
For all disciplines, the minimum qualification is MS or M.Phil. (first division) in the relevant field. Candidates must have no more than one third division in their entire academic career. A third division in the academic career will make the candidate ineligible, unless they have a Ph.D. in the relevant field.

Important Instructions and Terms & Conditions:

1. Interested candidates can download the Application Form from the University website: www.uo.edu.pk.
2. Applications must be submitted complete in all respects, along with the original bank draft/deposit slip, by 14-02-2025.
3. Candidates must read all instructions and terms and conditions carefully before submitting their applications. The responsibility for the correctness of the information in the application form lies with the candidates.
4. Government/Semi-Government employees or those in autonomous bodies must apply through proper channels and provide a No Objection Certificate (NOC) at the time of interview.
5. Separate applications are required for open merit and reserved quota positions.
6. If a screening test is conducted, it will be mandatory for all candidates to appear, whether applying on merit or against a reserved quota.
7. Only short-listed candidates will be called for an interview.
8. A processing fee of Rs. 1,000/- is required for each application for BPS-18 positions. The fee can be paid via bank draft (NTN No. 9021534-6) in favor of the “Treasurer, University of Okara, Renala Khurd” or deposited into HBL (Treasurer Payment A/C No. 01527913908901). The original bank draft/deposit slip must be attached with the application form.
9. Applications must be sent in hard copy to the Registrar’s Office of the University of Okara, and should be received by the closing date.
10. No TA/DA will be provided for attending the test/interview.
11. Age relaxation will be granted according to government policies.
12. Quotas for disabled persons, minorities, and women will be observed as per rules.
13. The University reserves the right to withdraw any post, or the entire advertisement, or reject any or all applications without assigning any reason. Such decisions will not be challengeable in any court of law.
14. The University may increase or decrease the number of positions based on its requirements and available budget.
