Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) is seeking a Company Secretary to join its leadership team and help drive its transformation journey. The role is a senior management position, responsible for ensuring the company adheres to corporate governance, legal compliance, and board procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee adherence to Board procedures, corporate laws, rules, regulations, and best practices.
- Support the Board and Committees in implementing decisions, including agenda circulation, working papers, and follow-up with stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and prevailing laws.
- Responsible for the timely publication and circulation of quarterly and annual accounts and reports.
Qualification and Experience:
- Education: Member of a recognized professional body of accountants or corporate/chartered secretaries, or a Master’s degree in business administration or commerce, or a law degree from an HEC-recognized university.
- Experience: At least 10 years of work experience, with a minimum of 7 years as a Company Secretary.
Other Criteria:
- Age Limit: Maximum 57 years.
- Must meet the “fit and proper criteria” under the State-Owned Enterprises (Governance and Operations) Act, 2023.
- Contract Duration: 3 years (renewable based on performance and company’s needs).
- Continuity of service applies for internal candidates per company policy.
