Sukkur Electric Power Company Limited (SEPCO) is a public sector power distribution company providing electricity to over 0.8 million consumers across 10 districts in Northern Sindh. SEPCO is currently seeking highly qualified professionals for the following C-Level positions based in Sukkur. Responsibilities, Skills, and Competencies:

The prospective candidate must:

  • Lead the department strategically, aligning objectives with organizational goals and driving innovation.
  • Develop and implement policies ensuring compliance, risk management, and ethical standards.
  • Build strong stakeholder relationships and provide clear, actionable communication and reports.
  • Identify and mitigate risks while making sound decisions under pressure.
  • Foster a high-performance culture by mentoring and managing teams effectively.
  • Demonstrate expertise in the relevant field, staying adaptable to industry trends and challenges.

Positions Available:

  1. Chief Internal Auditor
  2. Chief Legal Officer
  3. Chief Information & Communications Technology (ICT) Officer
  4. Director General (MIRAD)

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Chief Internal Auditor:
    • Member of a recognized professional body (CA/CPA/ACMA/ACCA/MBA Finance) with at least five years of relevant experience in auditing, risk management, and internal controls in public/private sectors, especially SOEs or public sector projects.
  • Chief Legal Officer:
    • Master’s degree (16 years of education) in Law or equivalent from a recognized university.
    • At least 15 years of relevant experience, including work as a licensed advocate in corporate law, commercial transactions, contracts, and tendering in the Energy/Power sector.
    • Preference will be given to those with experience in senior legal leadership roles.
  • Chief ICT Officer:
    • Master’s degree (16 years of education) in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, or equivalent from a recognized university.
    • At least 15 years of relevant experience, with knowledge of information systems, software, and frameworks.
    • Demonstrated experience in managing large-scale changes, cross-business unit teams, and creating information governance frameworks.
  • Director General (MIRAD):
    • Candidate should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance, Accounting, Law, or Management Sciences.
    • A Master’s degree in Business Administration is an advantage.
    • Minimum 15 years of experience, including at least 10 years in the power or related sectors.
    • Strong knowledge of technical, commercial, financial matters, and regulatory affairs in the utility/power sector is required.

Age, Tenure & Remuneration:

  • Upper Age Limit: 55 years (on the closing date of the advertisement). No age relaxation will be provided.
  • Contract Term: Initially two years, extendable based on annual performance reviews by the SEPCO Board of Directors.
  • Compensation: Market-based competitive compensation and benefits as per SEPCO’s Contract Appointment on C-Level Positions Regulations, 2024.

Other Terms & Conditions:

  • Experience must be post-qualification.
  • Candidates must comply with the Fit and Proper Criteria as per the State-Owned Enterprises (Governance and Operations) Act, 2023, SOES Policy-2023, and SOES (C-Level Appointments) Guidelines, 2024.
  • If selected, the employee must resign from any other public or private sector position before joining SEPCO.
  • SEPCO will assign quarterly targets with specific timelines and deliverables.
  • Applicants must be Pakistani citizens.
  • Individuals who have been dismissed or terminated from any public or private organization due to moral or financial misconduct are ineligible to apply.
